Roald Dahl:

Roald Dahl was born in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales on the 13th of September, 1916 and died in Oxford, England on the 23rd of November, 1990 at the age of 74. He was a British novelist, short story writer, poet, screenwriter and fighter pilot. His books have sold over 200 million copies worldwide. He was born in Wales to Norwegian parents and served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. He married Patricia Neal in 1953 and divorced in 1983. He then got married in Felicity Ann d'Abreu Crosland in 1983 and then he unfortunately died in 1916. He had 5 children, they were called, Tessa, Olivia, Theo, Ophelia and Lucy Dahl. His most famous children books include: Jack and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Matilda, the Witches, the BFG, the Twits, George's Marvellous Medicine and the Magic Finger.
